1st Killermont Rainbows swapped their church hall for the aisles of Asda during a recent unit meeting.
The girls, aged five to seven, were visiting the Bearsden supermarket to learn about the importance of foodbanks. While they were there, they choose food items to donate to East Dunbartonshire Foodbank.
Unit leader Suzanne Rae said: “Learning about foodbanks helps our girls understand kindness, empathy and how small actions can make a big difference. By donating an item themselves, they begin to see that they can play an active role in supporting others in their community.”
“Thank you to Asda for being so accommodating and letting us use the café area with the children.”
