A new Ranger Girlguiding unit is launching in Bearsden and is looking for girls aged 14 to 18 to join in the fun.

Led by experienced Girlguider Heather Hamilton, the group will meet every Thursday at Killermont Parish Church.

The young members will help plan a programme of badgework, STEM activities, games and crafts, all while learning new skills.

Heather said: “Ranger Guides is a great way to meet new friends while completing a series of fun and creative activities.

“I was once a Ranger Guide and loved the freedom of being able to tailor the programme for our unit and taking more responsibility in my Guiding journey.

“My favourite nights included STEM challenges and pottery decorating.”

A free taster session is being held on Thursday, February 15, from 7.30pm to 9.15pm.

Heather added: “Our first taster session will be a chance for us to get to know each other and explore the Guiding programme.”

To secure a place at the free taster evening, email Heather at Killermontrangers@outlook.com
