Under the Stars (Scottish)

Come along to Under the Stars at Netherurd and get ready for an astronomical adventure!

Guides and Rangers will sleep under the stars for one of the nights, stop by the planetarium, break out of the special escape room, dance the night away at our silent disco and so much more! We’ll also be lighting up the woodlands for a special edition night walk through the woodlands. This fully-catered events costs £95 per person so don’t miss out.

Gateway to Rangers (Scottish)

Who can come?

Gateway to Rangers is open to Guides and existing Rangers aged 13-16 keen to find out more about the new programme.

Places are limited to 3 girls per unit and leaders don’t need to come with their girls. You can also use this weekend as a BP Adventure!

What’s happening?

Girls will have the chance to try out some of the adventurous activities Netherurd has to offer, enjoy new programme tasters and explore the exciting opportunities available to Rangers.

There’s even going to be afternoon tea, a party and much more!

Takeover day with the British Army (Scottish)

This is an excellent opportunity for Guides and Rangers to put their leadership and teamwork skills to the test. All the activities will be delivered by serving soldiers, most of them young women.

What to expect

At this one-day event the girls will be in groups of ten and the event will consist of five tasks which match the activities and requirements needed to gain the skills builder:

• Leader style guide – knowing different leadership styles
• Let’s celebrate – recognise leadership in self and others
• That’s not fair! – weigh up evidence and difficult decisions
• Pick your battles – prioritise things and make decisions
• Enter the mentor – find out what a mentor is and explore your goals

INTOPS will have a different format this year – an evening at Catterburn Thursday 30th May, 18:00 – 21:30.  Come along and find out about International Opportunities through Guiding in 2020 for those aged 14 – 19 years on 30th June 2020.
