SUMMARY:November 2026 1st Response training
DESCRIPTION:1st Response training will take place over three sessions: you will need to attend all three session\, plus complete the e-learning on the Girlguiding learning platform\, in order to achieve your 1st Response qualification. \nNovember’s Session 1 will take place at Milngavie Guide hall (Oakburn Avenue\, G62 7NR) on Sunday 1st November from 2-4pm.  This is the in-person session. \nSessions 2 and 3 will take place on Zoom\, on Wednesdays 4th and 11th November from 7.30pm to around 9.30pm (one will be a little bit longer and the other a little bit shorter). \nPlease book by emailing 1stresponse@girlguidingdunbartonshire.org.uk giving your name\, unit\, membership number and confirming that you are aged 18 or older.

SUMMARY:16 hour first aid course 5th\, 7th and 8th of November
DESCRIPTION:When: Thursday 5 November\, 7pm to 9.30pm\, online via Zoom. Then in-person from 8.30am (for a 9am start) on Saturday 7 November and Sunday 8 November 2026. All elements of the course must be attended. \nWhere: Newbigging Outdoor Centre\, Blairgowrie\, PH13 9PU \nCost: £27.50 for Girlguiding Scotland members. The cost includes all meals and accommodation. It does not include any travel\, see below for more information. \nContact: ann-marie.macrae@girlguiding-scot.org.uk \nWho is it for?\nThis course is open to all members of Girlguiding Scotland aged 18+. \n\nIt is open to all members of Girlguiding Scotland aged 18+ who need to either:\n\n Undertake a 16 hour first aid course to be a 1st Response Trainer (anyone already holding a 16 hour qualification does not need to  undertake this). This course incorporates the current Girlguiding and Scout 1st Response syllabus. All candidates must have completed the 1st response e-learning module to allow certification at any level to be valid.\nRenew their 16 hour first aid qualification to validate their walking qualification.\nGain a new 16 hour first aid certificate to support their walking qualification\, having passed the assessment. If you need the 16 our first aid prior to taking MTUK assessment\, please get in touch.\n\n\n\nThis course fulfils the first aid requirements of the Girlguiding Walking Scheme Levels 2 and 3\, and the Mountain Training qualifications used for Girlguiding purposes. \nMore information available on the GGScot webpage
