1st Response Refresher, Kilsyth
June 3 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
To book your place click here to go to Eventbrite. Bookings for this session will close at 11pm on Friday 31st May.
1st Response is Girlguiding’s own first aid course. It will train you to provide first aid to members in emergencies – in or outside of your unit meeting place.
Your 1st Response training is valid for three years from the date that you complete the course. After this time, you can attend our 2 hour 1st Response Refresher course to ensure your knowledge is up to date and refreshed for a further three years.
Do I need to renew my training?
Not all volunteers have to renew their training, though it’s better for your unit if your knowledge is current. However, each unit must have at least one Leader with a valid 1st Response certificate, or an equivalent first aid qualification.
If you attended an external first aid course in place of 1st Response, you can take this refresher when your qualification expires. Your training will then be up to date for three more years.
We recommend that volunteers who completed 1st Response more than three-and-a-half years ago attend the full 1st Response course, or equivalent first aid training, to refresh their skills.
