Who can go to Imagine?
All members of Girlguiding Dunbartonshire are invited to Imagine - Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section, Leaders and Trefoil Guild.
When is Imagine?
Imagine takes place across the weekend of 11th - 13th June 2010. So girls attending for the full weekend will arrive on Friday evening. Girls attending for the day will be there on Saturday 12th June.
Where is Imagine?
Imagine is at Auchengillan Outdoor Center, which is on the Drymen Road to the North of Glasgow.
How many people will be at Imagine?
If everyone from the County comes to Imagine there will be 3000 girls there!
Do adults have to pay to go to Imagine?
We hope all adults will be helping in some capacity, so they will not pay to go to Imagine!
How do I pay my money?
The unit leaders are collecting deposits of £10 per booking now, and will require the balance to be paid by April 30. This will be passed to the Division Administrators.
Which forms will I need ?
Division Administrators will provide the necessary forms nearer to the event. As with all Guiding activities you will need to have permission and health forms completed for everyone taking part.
How will we get to Auchengillan?
Guides (camping Friday and Saturday nights) will have transport on to Auchengillan on Friday and back to their starting points on Sunday. Transport will also be provided on the Saturday for the girls attending for the day, details of times and pick up points will be available nearer the event.
What will I do with my stuff?
Each Division will be given a 'mustering point' where they will be able to leave bags, lunches and any other kit the girls bring.
Do I need to bring a packed lunch?
Day visitors will need to bring a packed lunch - which can be left at the Division 'base' (see above). Campers will have a packed lunch provided.
What happens if it rains?
We're hoping that in June this is not too likely, but as it is Scotland we will have sufficient marquees for the girls (and adults) to shelter under. Most of the activities will not be affected by the weather.
Will there be enough for everyone to do?
A wide range of activties is being planned with "something for everyone" from the smallest Rainbow to the oldest Trefoil Guild member. Check out our current activies list and see what you think!
Do we need to learn any songs?
There will be a giant campfire singalong as part of the Saturday evening festivities, and you would be able to join in if you knew the songs, but if you didn't it wouldn't stop you from enjoying the others singing.
What if I don't feel well?
There will be full First Aid facilities available based in one of the main buildings. This will be fully signposted on the day.
I'm tired - can I rest somewhere?
There will be a 'chill out' zone with quiet areas and you will be able to even have a snooze if you feel like it.
I've lost my adult booking form - can I have another one?
All booking forms can be downloaded from this website, or you can ask your Administrator for a new copy.
I have a guide who wants to go but doesn't want to camp - can she still come?
Guides who don't want to camp can come for the Saturday as a 'day visitor'.
